Analysis of integrin-associated protein (CD47) gene expression in the hippocampus of SERT mutant rats. Basal CD47 mRNA levels are decreased in the dorsal hippocampus (A) of SERT+/− rats, while they are increased in the ventral hippocampus (B). The data, expressed as percentage of SERT+/+ animals (set at 100%), are the mean ± SEM of at least five independent determinations. **P < 0.01 and ***P < 0.001 vs. SERT+/+ (one-way ANOVA with SCPHT). The expression of CD47 is modulated in dorsal (C) and ventral (D) hippocampus of WT or SERT+/− animals 1 or 5 days after an LPS challenge.
