Status epilepticus (SE) after administration of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) with or without anti-inflammatory drugs. Mean (± SEM) of both time to onset (open bar) and total duration (open + filled bar) after pilocarpine treatment following a prior injection of LPS or LPS + combination of anti-inflammatory drugs. The latency to pilocarpine-induced seizure onset in combination treatment of COX-2 inhibitor plus rIL-1ra with LPS was significantly delayed as compared to those given vehicle (*P <0.01).
