MCPIP1 is expressed in neurons and astrocytes. Co-localization of MCPIP1 expression of (a) NSE, (d) GFAP, and (g) CD11b at 24 h after the end of the last EA pretreatment. Yellow fluorescence indicates co-localization of MCPIP1/NSE (c) and MCPIP1/GFAP (i). MCPIP1/CD11b (f) showed very few yellow fluorescent structures. Similar results were obtained from a total of 12 mice (n = 4 per group). (Magnification 400X).
