Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP)-2 attenuated neuronal cell death induced by activated microglia. Neuro2a cells were incubated with conditioned media (CM) from lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated BV2 cells transfected with TIMP-2 or control vector. After 24 h of incubation, the MTT assay was performed to determine cell viability.
