Evaluation of ischemia-induced neurodegeneration using Fluoro-Jade staining. Representative photomicrographs of FluoroJade staining are shown in the upper panel. FluoroJade staining was confined to the CA1 region of the hippocampus. Scale bar = 50 μm. No significant difference in the number of FluoroJade-positive cells between the ischemic control and ischemic CX3CR1 deficient rats.
