Increased ex vivo expression of CD80 and CD86 in T and B cells of HAM/TSP patients and HTLV-1 asymptomatic carriers (ACs). CD80 and CD86 expression in (A) T (CD3+) cells and (B) B (CD19+) cells of HCs (n = 15), ACs (n = 6) and HAM/TSP patients (n = 21) were quantified using flow cytometry.
