Repetitive hypoxic preconditioning treatment specifically induces an immunosuppressive regulatory B-cell population prior to central nervous system injury. Ex vivo regulatory B-cell levels from repetitive hypoxic preconditioning (RHP)-treated mice relative to untreated (21 %) cohorts. B10 (CD1dhiCD5+), B1a (CD1d+CD5+) and conventional B2 (CD1dlowCD5-) subpopulations were quantified within splenic CD19+ B-cells populations.
