Reconstitution of selected pathogenic natural antibodies in immunodeficient Rag1 -/- mice. The pre-injury reconstitution of mAbs against annexin IV (mAb B4) and phospholipids (mAb C2) did not alter the neurological outcome in head-injured Rag1 -/- mice which lack a natural antibody repertoire. The Neurological Severity Score (NSS) was assessed for up to seven days after closed head injury in Rag1 -/-mice. No significant difference was seen in neurological outcomes between head-injured Rag1 -/- mice with or without reconstitution of pathogenic natural antibodies (mAb B4 and mAb C2) or mAb F632 as an isotype-matched control antibody (repeated measures ANOVA; P >0.05).
