Cortical neuron cultures were pre-incubated (32 h) with acetaminophen (0–300 μM) (APAP) and oxidatively stressed with menadione (5 μM for 4 h). Total protein was extracted and western blot analysis performed using specific antibodies for cleaved caspase3 (Fig. 5a) and Bcl2 (Fig. 5b). Blots probed with GAPDH were used to confirm loading equivalency.
