From: Resveratrol inhibits prostaglandin formation in IL-1β-stimulated SK-N-SH neuronal cells
Resveratrol dose-dependently inhibited IL-1β-induced production of 8- iso -PGF 2α , PGD 2 (A) and PGE 2 (B) in SK-N-SH cells. Selective inhibitors of COX-2 (L745,337 and DFU) and COX-1 (SC-560) were included as controls (B). Cells were incubated with the compounds for 30 minutes and subsequently treated with IL-1β (10 U/ml) for 24 h. Data are expressed as mean ± S.E.M. of at least 3 independent experiments.
