On the other hand, rats that experienced SE (E-F) shows many microglial cells (arrowheads) that appear activated and are closely apposed to CCR2-labeled cells (arrow). (G) Graph of the distance between CCR2+ and Iba1+ cells. Note that compared to controls, SE rats present a significant decrease in the distance between these two cells types, with the mean distance being less than a few micrometers (mean Ā± SEM, **p ā‰¤ 0.001, Mann-Whitney Rank Sum Test).
