  1. Female IL-18 KO and WT mice, 18 to 19 months of age, were treated with KA at a dose of 25 mg/kg bodyweight intranasally. Mice were monitored continuously for 5 h to register the onset and extent of seizure activity. KA treatment resulted in various clinical symptoms in both IL-18 KO and WT mice. However, the severity of seizure did not differ significantly between the two groups.
