Elevated 8-isoprostane levels in mixed neural cell cultures following HSV-1 infection. Mixed neural cell cultures obtained from wild-type or TLR2-/- mice were infected with HSV-1 (MOI = 1) for 48 h prior to collecting supernatants for 8-isoprostane assay as an indicator of lipid peroxidation.
