Effect of neuropeptides on inflammatory genes expression. BV2 (left column) and N9 (right column) cells were incubated with bradykinin (BK) (A), endothelin (ET) (B) or somatostatin (SST) (C) for 15 h at the concentration of 10-7 M. Then, microglia were exposed to Aβ1-42 (1 μM) and cells harvested after 4 h. At the end of the experiment, total RNA was extracted and reverse transcribed. Finally, Real time qPCR was performed. mRNA expression was normalized to GAPDH.
