Rapamycin does not modify the level of iNOS protein. (A) Whole-cell lysates were prepared from Control astrocytes or cells activated with TII or LPS for 24 h. Equal amounts of proteins were analyzed by western blot for iNOS (upper gel) and consequently for β-Actin (lower gel). Two replicates per each experimental group are shown in the gel. (B) Pro-inflammatory cytokines (TII), and/or 10 nM Rapa were added at the beginning of the experiment and proteins were analyzed as described above.
