Naïve CD4+ T cells hardly infiltrate non-inflamed CNS tissue. MACS isolated CMTMR stained naïve T cells were co-incubated with living hippocampal brain slices in order to visualise their migratory capacity. (A) 3D time lapse TPLSM revealed a nearly stationary behaviour of naïve T lymphocytes. Cell tracking analysis of individual T cells confirmed these qualitative observations since the corresponding trajectory vectors display almost no displacement of naïve T lymphocytes.
