Dopaminergic neurons are not protected from MPTP in MyD88-/- mice. (A) Stereological counts of TH+ cells in the SNpc showed a decrease in dopaminergic neuronal count in WT mice that received MPTP, as compared to saline-treated WT mice (p < 0.05). MyD88-/- mice treated with MPTP were as vulnerable as WT, displaying a similar loss of dopaminergic neurons (p < 0.05).
