Representative confocal photomicrographs were taken to assess the role of LPS on rearrangement of the actin cytoskeleton. Microglial cells treated with LPS (100 ng/ml) showed significant membrane ruffling, while NPY (1 μM) reduced this effect. Moreover, microglial cells treated with LPS (100 ng/ml), in the presence of SB239063, showed a cytoskeleton rearrangement similar to that of untreated cells.
