A, B, E and F are merged images and C, D, G and H show only annexin-V-FITC staining. DAPI was used as a nuclear stain. A strong annexin V-FITC staining colocalizes with MAP2 staining after Aβ42 exposure, whereas GFAP-positive cells appear unaffected (A, C). We found also a diffuse and very weak staining of annexin V-FITC in CD68-positive cells (E, G).
