Effect of pharmacological inhibitors on GLT-1 mRNA and protein expression. GLT-1 mRNA (a) and protein (b) expression in astrocytes either untreated (control) or transfected with pAAV-MIP-2γ-hrGFP plasmids (MIP-2γ) in the absence or presence (+) of PDTC (100 μM), LY294002 (10 μM), KT5720 (5 μM), or PD98059 (50 μM) for 48 hours. Individual experiments were performed three times with triplicate samples.
