Post-treatment with naloxone is still capable of inhibiting pre-existing increased binding of p47 phox in membrane elicited by pre-treatment of LPS. BV2 microglia were pretreated with vehicle or LPS for 15 minutes. Membrane fractions were isolated and incubated with vehicle or naloxone for 30 minutes at 37°C. Then, the reaction mixture was centrifuged at 100,000 × g for 30 minutes. The pellet was isolated to perform western blot analysis using p47phox and gp91phox antibodies, gp91phox as an internal membrane control. Results are expressed as a percentage of the control and are mean ± SEM of three independent experiments performed in duplicate. **P < 0.01 and ## P < 0.01 compared with corresponding WT and LPS treatment group, respectively.
