(A) Representative western blots showing the expression of the anti-apoptotic proteins Bcl2 and Bcl-XL at 24 hours after saline + LPS, saline + LT or LPS + LT injection. (B) Similar as in A but for the pro-apoptotic proteins Bax and Bak. Experiment were done in parallel and repeated four times with similar results. (C) Densitometric analysis of western blots. Results were normalized with β-actin and referred to saline-injected animals. Data are presented as mean ± SD compared to a pool of saline-injected young animals. *P <0.05.
