Experimental design. Representative scatter plots and gating strategies for immune cell analysis in brains from rats subjected to tMCAO. (A) Cells were first gated for lymphocytes (SSC-A versus FSC-A) and (B) singlets (FSC-W versus FSC-A). Thereafter, surface expression of (C) MHC class II or (D) CD11b was determined from this gated population.
