Viral pre-challenge increases the acute mobilisation of neutrophils in response to the microinjection of IL-1β into the brain. Neutrophils immunohistochemically assessed in (A) whole blood and (B) liver 12 hours, 3 days or 7 days following IL-1Β challenge to the brain in the presence of intravenous vehicle (solid line) or AdLuc (5 × 109 CFU - dashed line).
