Production of IL-1ß (Panel A) and IL-6 (panel B) by autism spectrum disorder-inflammatory subtype (ASD-IS) cells in `flare’ and non-flare’ states. Levels of IL-1ß and IL-6 produced spontaneously by peripheral blood monocytes (PB Mo) were higher when in `flare’ than during `non-flare’ states in ASD-IS children (P < 0.01for IL-1ß and P <0.005 for IL-6).
