Immunohistochemistry evaluation of the CaMKII and DREAM expression in cerebral arteries. (A, B) Markedly increased CaMKII protein expression at 72 h post-SAH. KN93 decreased the CaMKII expression significantly. (C, D) Increased DREAM protein expression in SAH and SAH + Placebo groups. Administration of KN93 decreased the DREAM immunoreactivity significantly. The protein expression of CaMKII and DREAM in the different groups was compared to SAH as control. No staining, except for autofluorescence in the internal elastic lamina, was observed in the negative controls were primary antibodies were omitted (data not shown). *P <0.05 and **P <0.01 vs. SAH.
