TNF-α and nitric oxide are involved in Cu(II)-Aβ complex-caused, microglia-mediated neurotoxicity. Cell viability of hippocampal neurons treated with conditioned media (CM, at 50 % of neuronal culture media) from primary microglia stimulated with Cu(II)-Aβ1–40 (5 μΜ peptide) in the presence or absence of pentoxifylline (PTX, 1 mM) and/or aminoguanidine (AG, 200 μM). Data are expressed as the means ± SEM of at least three independent experiments.
