  1. Fetuses were subjected to umbilical cord occlusion (UCO) at a comparable gestational age (GA). Fetal body weight (BW) did not differ between experimental groups. Brain weight corrected for body weight was significantly reduced following global HI. MAPC treatment did not prevent loss of cerebral weight. Means ± 95 % CI are shown. Groups’ comparisons were drawn with ANOVA (sham-SAL n = 8, sham-MAPC n = 8, HI-SAL n = 8, HI-MAPC n = 8)
