IVIG-derived F(ab’)2 fragments bind to CFA-contained mycobacterial antigens and inhibit Mycobacteria-induced IL-12/23 p40 production in vitro. a Binding of IVIG, IVIG-derived F(ab’)2, or Rituximab to Mycobacteria-coated ELISA plates. b Murine splenocytes were incubated overnight with mycobacteria in the presence or absence of F(ab’)2. IL-12/23 p40 secretion into culture supernatants was measured by ELISA. IL-12/23 p40 production in the presence of 0.1 μg/ml mycobacteria in the absence of F(ab’)2 was set to 100 %, and relative IL-12/23 p40 production was calculated for each experiment. Mean + SEM of three independent experiments is shown. Statistics were performed by paired T test. *p ≤ 0.05
