TRPA1 is crucial in regulating Aβ-induced inflammatory response and astrogliosis in astrocytes. Primary astrocytes from WT and TRPA1−/− mice were pretreated with HC030031 (HC; 10 μM) for 2 h, then with Aβ (2 μM) for 24 h (a-d) or 1 h (e, f). ELISA of (a-d) IL-1β, IL-6, IL-4 and IL-10 secretion in culture medium and (e, f) NF-κB and NFAT DNA binding activity in cellular lysates.
