Effects of histidine on thresholds to mechanical and thermal stimuli in rats. Histidine (100 mg/kg, i.p.) administered once daily for three consecutive days did not affect hindpaw withdrawal thresholds to mechanical and thermal stimuli in naïve and sham-operated rats (a, b).
