Ex-4 preserved the BBB integrity after warfarin-associated HT through PI3K/Akt/GSK-3β pathway. Mice were intravenously treated with either Ex-4 (Ex-4, 10 mg/kg) or Ex-4 plus wortmannin (15 μL/kg) right after reperfusion. The expression levels of a claudin-3, b claudin-5, c ICAM-1, and d VCAM-1 were analyzed by western blotting. Data are presented as mean ± SD from six independent experiments and analyzed by one-way ANOVA. *P < 0.05 vs. MCAO group; # P < 0.05 vs. MCAO + warfarin group; **P < 0.05 vs. MCAO + warfarin + Ex-4 group
