In vivo effect of synaptamide on proinflammatory responses in LPS-challenged mice. The time course of the exogenous synaptamide was determined by injecting 5 mg/kg (i.p.) d4-synaptamide into C57BL/6 mice (n = 3 for each time point), and brains were collected at indicated time points for LC/MS analysis (a). C57BL/6 mice (n = 3 for each group) were treated with synaptamide (5 mg/kg, i.p.) following LPS injection (1 mg/kg, i.p.), and brains were collected at 2 h to determine LPS-induced gene expression by qPCR (b).
