miR-322 over-expression can induce apoptosis in Neuro-2a cells: (a) The caspase-3 activity in Neuro-2a cells transfected with vector (control) or miR-322 clone (miR-322) was monitored at the time indicated (24, 36, 60 h post transfection). At 24 h, under the same conditions (b) relative cytochrome c release was elevated. IFN-γ treatment also led to the induction of miR-322 levels in qRT-PCR based assay (c). Stat1 knockdown (by Control or Stat1 siRNA) and over-expression (by Vector or Stat1-pEGFP-N3) has no significant effect on expression of miR-322 (d)
