Effect of AVP during normoxia and hypoxia on Slc16a1 and Slc16a4 gene expression in astrocytes isolated from WKY/Izm and SHRpch1_18 rats. Confluent astrocytes isolated from WKY/Izm and SHRpch1_18 rats were exposed to normoxic (21% O2) or hypoxic (1% O2) conditions for 24 h with or without 100 nM AVP. Total cellular RNA was isolated from the cultured astrocytes for RT-PCR, using primers for Slc16a1 or Slc16a4. a Slc16a1 and b Slc16a4 gene expression from astrocytes from all assayed rat strains.
