Genotype Effects on BMP6 and its ALK3. Macrophages were plated in 100-mm2 tissue culture dishes (8 × 106 cells/dish). Following differentiation, the cell culture media was replaced with fresh control media for 24 h. After 24 h, the media was collected and cells were harvested and lysed for analysis by ELISA. BMP6 expression was measured in the cell lysates (a) and secretion in the cell culture media (b). ALK3 expression was determined in the cell lysates (c). Absorbance was measured on a SpectraMax 340PC plate reader. Data represent the mean ± SEM from three independent experiments performed each time in triplicate.
