Digging frequency and overall activity of old male mice after an antigen challenge. Two scorers, to whom the treatment condition of each mouse was undisclosed, independently observed the videos recorded during the digging behavior assessments. The presence (1 point) or absence (0 point) of digging was scored for each of the 10 s intervals during the test period (10 min). The points scored by the two scorers were averaged for each mouse and were used as the mouse digging frequency. a The digging frequency for each group is presented as the group average ± standard error. b Total mobile time in seconds was computed by ANY-maze software to assess general immobility in the mice.
