In both conditions, the highest PI uptake was observed in CA1 pyramidal region. However, EL slices have a higher PI incorporation in all hippocampal areas when compared to CTL ones. All values are mean ± SEM. n = 17–29 slices per condition, from 3 to 4 independent cultures. Statistical tests were performed with one-way ANOVA, followed by Bonferroni’s comparison test, *p < 0.05, for comparisons within the same hippocampal area, #p < 0.05, for comparisons within the same group, as depicted by the lines above the bars.
