NADPH oxidase 2 (NOX2) was activated in Parkinson’s disease mice induced by 6-OHDA. Wild-type (WT) mice received a striatal injection of saline or 6-OHDA. NOX2, COX2, and iNOS expressions were measured by Western blot on 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, and 21 days after the injection (a). Seven days after striatal injection of 6-OHDA, the SN was collected for the measurement of reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels (b). All data are presented as the mean ± SEM, n = 6 mice per group. *p < 0.05, compared with indicated group
