Apelin 13 protected the brain from oxidative stress. The brain tissues were collected after different treatments and homogenized to determine the levels of ROS (a), MDA (b), GSH-Px (c), GSH (d), SOD (e), CAT (f), TNF-α (g), ICAM-1 (h), and IL-1β (i). The protein contents were measured by a BCA protein measurement kit.
