Active caspase-3 in mice treated with IL-10 after glutamate administration. Active caspase-3 was measured in striatal homogenates of wild-type (WT) mice treated with NaCl 0.9% (S.S.), only glutamate 1 M (− IL-10) or glutamate + 0.4 ng/mL of IL-10 (+ IL-10) at 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 h after glutamate administration. Fluorescence produced by the cleavage of the specific substrate was quantified in relative units of fluorescence (FRU). Data are expressed as fold change of fluorescence relative to saline without IL-4.
