Application of anti-IL1β-neutralising antibody alters the OHSC response to LPS. Western blot of antibody and LPS-treated cultures (a) shows that whilst OHSCs pre-treated with anti-βGAL (control) antibody show a reduction in synaptophysin when treated with LPS (*p = 0.02) cultures pre-treated with anti-IL1β-neutralising antibody are resistant to LPS addition (p = 0.83) (b). There is no significant rescue of synaptophysin levels when comparing control antibody +LPS and anti-IL1β antibody + LPS (p = 0.63). All analysis was conducted using a two-way ANOVA (n = 16 per treatment group). Error bars = mean ± SEM
