Dynamics of inflammatory mechanisms across the functional outcome groups within 48 h. A cytokine cluster comprising of IL1R1, TNFa, IL8, IL6, CCL2 (MCP1), CCL11, and GCSF (CSF3) was observed in the poor outcome group. Upwards arrow indicates elevated concentration levels of the cytokine in the poor functional outcome compared to the good functional outcome. This cluster was observed at T1 and T2 and persisted over time
