Effect of Nostrill induction on expression of inflammatory genes in primary murine microglia following LPS stimulation. a Validation of knockdown of Nostrill in primary murine microglia. For knockdown, primary microglia were treated with the designed siRNA to Nostrill for 24 h and subsequently stimulated with LPS (10 μg/ml) for 6 h. A non-specific siRNA sequence was used as the control. Expression levels of selected inflammatory genes, b Ccl2, c IL-1β, d iNOS, were quantified by using real-time PCR. Gapdh was used as a reference gene for normalization. Data represent means ± SEM from three independent experiments. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, and ***p < 0.001 vs control siRNA. †p < 0.05, and ††p < 0.01 between indicated groups
