Data represented as percentage of live cells, revealed a significant decrease in the overall CD45+ cells in spleen at 24 h (a), whereas no differences were observed in macrophages (b) and monocytes (c). Neutrophils showed an increase in LPS treated mice (d). However, T cytotoxic cells (f) were unchanged after the treatment, but B cells (e) and T helper cells (g) were reduced significantly at 24 h, indicating that LPS instigated both an innate and adaptive immune response.
