One upper corner of the catheter puncture side on the ipsilateral hemisphere is shown on each photo. Positive staining appears in brown, counterstained cell nuclei in blue. The first line shows the difference between a rat receiving no therapy at all (a) with the most cortical demyelination detectable and a C0 (b) with no PLP loss at all. In the second line, the C1 group (c) shows more PLP loss than the therapy group E1 (d). This pattern is also comparable in the last line, showing C2 (e) and E2 (f). E1 and E2 show results comparable to C0. Scale bars represent 100 μm
