Colitis induces the rolling and adhering of leukocytes in cerebral endothelial cells. Intravital microscopy was performed using a spinning disc confocal microscope with a 20X/0.95 NA water objective. Videos were captured and analyzed to identify rolling and adhering leukocytes in control and colitic female mice. A Colitic mice showed a significant increase in rolling (t = 2.8, df 11, *P = 0.02; n = 6–7 mice/group) and adhering (t = 3.1, df 11, *P = 0.01; n = 6–7 mice/group) leukocytes on cerebral endothelial cells.
