Colitis induces the rolling and adhering of neutrophils on cerebral endothelial cells during colitis. Intravital microscopy was used to identify rolling and adhering neutrophils (Ly-6G positive cells) in control and colitic female mice. A Colitis significantly increased the rolling (t = 2.8, df 10, *P = 0.01; n = 6 mice/group) and adhering (t = 2.7, df 10, *P < 0.02; n = 6 mice/group) neutrophils in colitic mice compared to controls.
