SAH caused increased ventricular dilation and cell death on post-bleed day 9, which were significantly reduced with IL-6 blockade. A significant increase in third ventricular diameter was seen on post-bleed day 9 (p < 0.01), with reduction back towards control levels with IL-6 blockade (p < 0.05) (A).
