Astrocytes inhibit MPO release from neutrophils. A. FACS-sorted resting or LPS-activated neutrophils were co-cultured with resting or poly I:C-primed astrocytes at a ratio of 1:1 for 6 hr. Semi-quantification of MPO shows fold change of MPO compared with resting neutrophils alone.
